ANGELA WERNEKE |
"My life is my art."
—Mri Pilar Developing a relationship to Place and the natural world has come to be in some ways the work of Angela's life since migrating to the Southwest in 1975. Being a participant in the larger community of the living world in a respectful, caring way is a notion that informs her daily as well as larger choices. As a graphic designer and former illustrator, she lends her creative vision to projects supporting a shift to a more sustainable, compassionate way of living in the world. She is a gardener, dreamer, flower essence practitioner, and astrologer, who finds there are many tools on the path to healing and wholeness, not the least of which derive from the rich dimensions of myth and nature. As a part of Sand River, Angela is learning to balance the solitude that anchors her to the unseen world with a deeper and more meaningful participation in the human community. As within, so without. |
