Marvel moved to Santa Fe with her husband Frank in August of 2020, after having sold their greenhouse and nursery in Northern Nevada. It was their first time experiencing Santa Fe and they both immediately felt drawn to the beauty of the city and its surrounding landscapes, moderate weather, and friendliness of the people. They did not have cohousing in mind when they began looking at potential homes but, having moved here from a small community, their response in first visiting Sand River was that it seemed a good fit. That initial impression proved to be true as their lives and involvement in the community unfolded.
Unfortunately, Frank passed away in September of 2023, yet Marvel feels fortunate to have chosen a community where neighbors have become friends. |
