LORRAINE GRAHAM

Picture
In search of sunshine and dry climate, Lorraine ventured from the Northeast to the Southwest, where she continued her career in counseling and psychiatric nursing. After maintaining a house of her own on a quiet Santa Fe cul-de-sac for 40 years, she began exploring the idea of communal living. Her once cherished experience of privacy began to feel more like isolation and she was drawn to the notion of living in community.

She began to make inquiries and visit friends already living at Sand River. Her attraction to its natural landscape of trees, gardens, and nearby trails, as well as its sense of quietude and the respect shown within the community for one another's privacy, convinced her that she had found the right place—and her new home.
